Herb Augustine of Port Rowan in his 85th year, passed away peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, on Sunday October 22, 2017.
Beloved husband of Grace (nee Fowler) who he married October 2, 1993. Dear father of Debbie Cockerline of North Bay, Mark & wife Sue, Paul, all of Bracebridge and David of Milton. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Matthew, Joshua, Tom, Joe, Regan, Alana, Mitchell and great grandchildren Tucker and Carson. Survived by his sister Barbara Augustine of Cambridge.
Predeceased by his brother John.
A celebration of Herb’s life will take place at the Clubhouse of the Villages of Long Point Bay, Port Rowan on Saturday November 4, 2017 from 12:30 – 3:30pm. Words of Remembrance will be shared at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family. CRONK: John William “Bill” – passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday October 14, 2017, Bill Cronk, of Port Rowan in his 74th year.
Beloved husband of the late Anita (Horlick) who predeceased him May 28, 2016. Dear father of Brad & Tiffany, Erin & Bob Friesen all of Port Rowan, and Sue Andrews & Jim Scott of Mississauga. Cherished grandpa of Shannon, Nathan, Dylan, Johnny, Megann, Cole and Billie. Survived by his sisters Linda McClelland & husband Hugh of Calgary and Karen Bosworth of Port Rowan and by sister-in-law Betty Lou Ireland of Tillsonburg and brother-in-law Jim Jamieson of Port Rowan.
Predeceased by his parents Leighton & Helen (Smith) Cronk, by sister Betty Ann Jamieson, by brothers-in-law Gary Horlick & his wife Diane, Herb Horlick and Larry Ireland.
Private family graveside service will take place at Bayview Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Street Port Rowan.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation or Charity of one’s Choice would be appreciated by the family.
ASPDEN: Helen Ethel (nee Townsend) – passed away suddenly but peacefully at her residence on Wednesday October 4, 2017. Helen Aspden of Simcoe and formerly of St. Williams in her 88th year.
Beloved wife of the late Harold Aspden who predeceased her June 17, 2002. Dear mother of Penni & husband Doug Butcher of RR#1 Simcoe, Gary & wife Diana of RR#2 Delhi, Lori & husband Shane Ransome of Walkerton and Terry & wife Gail of Simcoe. She will be missed by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by her brother George Townsend of St. Williams and by her sisters Ara Ponting of Sarnia, Dora Stackhouse of St. Williams and Eva & husband Gordon Price of Tillsonburg.
Predeceased by her brothers James and Bill Townsend and by sisters Irene Cronmiller and Gladys Stackhouse.
A private family service will be conducted at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St., Port Rowan with burial to follow in the Cultus Cemetery.
