WALLS: Eldon “Al” Herman– passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Parkwood Institute, London on Friday November 24, 2017, Eldon “Al” Walls of Port Rowan and formerly of London in his 80th year.

Beloved husband of Helen (nee Watson) who he married August 9, 1958.  Dear father of Brian, Bruce & wife Barb all of London and Karen & husband Tim McMillan of Strathroy.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Taylor, Austin, Michalia and by many other family and friends.  Survived by his sister Jean & husband Ken Clement of Mossley.

Predeceased by his sister Margaret & husband Don Mossip.

Al was a member of the Ironworkers Local 700 for over 60 years.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place in the Clubhouse of the Villages of Long Point Bay on Saturday April 14, 2018 from 2-4 p.m.

DEWDNEY: William Charles “Bill” – passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday November 18, 2017, Bill Dewdney of St. Williams in his 79th year.

Beloved husband Evelyn (Dawley) who he married January 11, 1958.  Loving father of Robert (Norma) of St. Williams & their children Robert, William Benjaman, Sara (Joseph) Anderson; Daniel ( Diane) of Summerside, PEI & their children Troy (Brook) and Terrance Jeffrey; Peggy of St. Williams & her children Kyle (Tristanna) and Savannah; Deborah of Kirkland Lake & her children Adam (Alysia) Guthrie, April (Andrew) Hardman), Patricia Guthrie, and Jordon (Leah) Howick; Christina (Gordon) Gilbert of Simcoe & their Children Ryan & Katherine; Jeffrey (Cindy) of Langton & their children Mitchell, Jolene (Mike) Toth and Jessie (Adam) Halstead.  Sadly missed by his 14 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents Norman & Rhoda Dewdney.

Bill was a longtime member of the St. Williams Lion Club, an Honourary Member of the Long Point Lions Club, Chairman of the Long Point Leo’s and was a longtime President of the St. Williams Softball Association.  Special thank you to the Care Partner nurses and the VON nurses for the extra time and care given to Bill.  Special thank you to Charlie for his transportation of Bill to Hamilton.  Thanks to Denis & Wanda, Clayton & Michelle, also Ronnie & Kathy and their daughter Jackie for their thoughtfulness and concern.  Thanks to Dr. Anna, Dr. Bard & Lora VanBerlo N.P. and a very special thank you to Dr. J. Tschirhart.

Relatives and friends may call at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St., Port Rowan on Wednesday November 22, 2017 from 4-8pm.  A Long Point Lions Memorial Service will follow at 8:00pm followed by the Funeral Service to Celebrate Bill’s life.

SHERRATT: Jessie Viola (nee Ellis)

SHERRATT: Jessie Viola (nee Ellis) – passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday November 17, 2017 at the VON Sakura House, Woodstock. Jessie Sherratt of Tillsonburg and formerly of Milton in her 92nd year.

Beloved wife of the late Eric Sherratt who predeceased her May 12, 1987.  Loving mother of Dee & husband Ray Andress of Tillsonburg.  Sadly missed by her grandchildren Cindy & husband Brian Cole and their children Courtney and Justin, Dan Andress & wife Lisa and their children Matthew, Emma and Tyler.

Predeceased by her first husband Edward Wright (January 1969) and by her daughter Karen Sherfield (December 24, 2000)

Jessie Viola (Ellis) Sherratt was born near Arthur, ON to John & Mary Ellis.  She had 5 brothers, Harry, Mitchell, Ken, Charlie & David and 3 sisters, Eva, Helen & Grace.  Jessie was the only one left of her immediate family.

Relatives and friends may call at the Tillsonburg Bible Chapel, 63 Queen St., Tillsonburg on Tuesday November 21, 2017 from 10-11am followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am.  Jim Noseworthy officiating.  Reception to follow with interment later in Evergreen Cemetery, Milton.

BOYD: Robert Clyde

BOYD: Robert Clyde “Bob” – of Port Rowan, passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer in his 70th year.

Proud dad of 2 sons Duane (Kristiane) of New Hamburg and Ryan (Vicki) of Port Rowan.  Cherished grandfather of Parker, Michaelane, Rachel and Dylan.  Dear brother of Jim (Valerie) of Port Rowan and Joanne (Bernie) Deckers of Simcoe.  Lovingly remembered by best friend of Joan Skuce of Port Rowan

Predeceased by parents Harry & Vivian Boyd, brother Rick and sister Janice Brown.

Bob was an avid hunter & fisherman throughout his life. In the later years he loved nothing better than a good yard sale and has many collections to show for it.

MATSCHKE: Ernest Julius “Ernie”

MATSCHKE, Ernest -With a sad heart, Ernie’s family announces his passing at Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton on Sunday, November 12, 2017 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Lynne (Plumer) of 55 years. Loving father to Bill (Nancy), Dave (Ann) and special uncle to Larry (Debbie).  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jackson, Valerie, Wyatt, Haley, Michaela and Katelynne.  Predeceased by his parents Julius Edward and Delia (Tekla) Matschke and siblings Michael, Edward, Jules, Alfred, Emily, Freda, Edith and Ann. Will be sadly missed by his father in law Bill Plumer and Lynne’s siblings Lee and Tom Normet, Kristen Peters, Trudi and John Howard, Bette and Christopher Paton and Michael Plumer as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr Brian Leber, Dr Bill Thorogood, the Oncology Day Services unit of the Juravinski Hospital, Care partners, especially Greg, Kim and Linda and Nurse Practitioner Sara Redekop for their dedication and undying support.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 2:00pm – 4:30pm at Neal Memorial United Church, 1054 Bay St, Port Rowan, Ontario N0E 1M0.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Church Women of Neal Memorial United Church, Long Point Fish and Game Club or charity of your choice.
