roseWHITWORTH: Nancy Joanne (nee Pegg) – passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a short battle with pneumonia on Thursday November 27, 2014 at the Woodstock General Hospital. Nancy Whitworth of Port Rowan at 77 years.

Beloved wife of Edward T. “Ted” Whitworth whom she married March 27, 1959. Loving mother of Ted & Tracy Whitworth of Ingersoll and their children Allison, Amanda and Nicholas, Tracy Whitworth of RR#1 Simcoe and her children Aaron and Kristen (Chris) and her daughter Taylor, Steve & Anita Whitworth of Langton, K.C. Mullen of Tillsonburg and her children Brett and Luke, and will be remembered by her son-in-law Anthony Mullen of Tillsonburg. Remembered by her sisters Betty Brown of Tillsonburg, Marylou Cairns of Tillsonburg and Pat (Roger) Gardham of Markham. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Nancy will be fondly remembered as everyone’s favorite teacher and by her many friends here and in Florida.

Predeceased by her brothers Bob & Doug Pegg.

Nancy taught school at Houghton and Port Rowan for 35 years. She acted as the Sliver Cross Mother for Port Rowan and Fairground, belonged to the Hands of Grace Prayer Shawl Ministry of Cultus and was a member of the Cultus Baptist Church and the 1st Baptist Church, Houghton

Relatives and friends may call at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St., Port Rowan for memorial visitation on Sunday from 1-5 pm. Memorial service will be conducted in the Port Rowan Community Centre on Monday December 1, 2014 at 1:30pm. Private interment of cremated remains later in Bayview Cemetery, Port Rowan.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or the Lung Association (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.

roseROSE: Charles Wesley – passed away peacefully on Saturday November 22, 2014 at his residence, Dover Cliff’s Long Term Care, Port Dover in his 84th year.
Dear father of Charlene Rose of Port Rowan and Cherie & husband Jim Granger of St. Williams. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Cody Martyn and Cara Granger. Survived by his brothers Harold & wife Yola of Dunnville, Murray & wife Marilyn of Simcoe, sisters Joyce Rose of Geraldton, Janice Bedard of Fonthill, Dawn & husband Ed Grunerud of Port Rowan, brother-in-law Clancy Dennie of Courtland, sister-in-law Jeannette Rose of Port Rowan and by his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother Ted Rose and brother-in-law Ken Bedard. Charlie owned and operated C.W. Rose Drilling for over 40 years. Funeral arrangements will remain private and have been entrusted to the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St., Port Rowan.
