THIBODEAU: Estelle Mary Alma (nee Henry) – of Port Rowan, ON, passed away suddenly at University Hospital, London on May 20, 2017, surrounded by family.

Beloved wife of Edmond Thibodeau for 61 years, cherished mother of Beverley Hampson (Kent Dagneault of Barrie, ON and Barry Thibodeau (Janet) of Port Rowan, ON.  Loving grandmother to Ted (Mary) Hampson, Jason (Meghan) Hampson, Holli Hampson (Robin Dubeau) all of Barrie, ON, Tracey Thibodeau-Graves of Tillsonburg, ON, Craig (Jennie) Thibodeau of Springfield, ON.  Adored great grandmother of Tatiana, Kristine and Abbigale Hampson, Matthew, Cole and Hannah Hampson, Alaetra and Kieran Graves, and Eris & Dagon Thibodeau.

She is fondly remembered by the Dagneault family, and many friends across Canada and the U.S.A.  After 25 years of living across Canada during her husband Ed’s military career, they returned to Barrie in 1974, enjoying many happy summer days golfing at Camp Borden’s Circle Pine.  Winter were spent in their Plant City, Florida home.

Estelle liked gardening, dancing, playing games, but she loved to Golf.  She won numerous Club Championships, achieved 10 hole-in-ones, and was named to the P.E.I. Ladies Amateur Golf team.

In 2003, they settled in Port Rowan, ON retirement community, where they formed many new friendships.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St. Port Rowan on Friday May 26, 2017 at 1:00pm followed by a reception in the Clubhouse at the Villages of Long Point Bay.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LHSC – University Hospital, London (cheques accepted) and would be appreciated by the family.
