UULDRIKS: John Menno

UULDRIKS: John Menno passed away on Monday June 26, 2017 at the Hamilton General Hospital with his wife by his side.  John Uuldriks of RR#2 St. Williams in his 76th year.

Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Hayes) whom he married August 26th, 1960.  Dear father of John & wife Judy of Wellesley, Randy & wife Kathy of Kitchener, Denise of Waterloo and Debbie Latter & Scott of Moorefield.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Christopher & Sarah, Jonathon & Christina, Cindy & Paulo, Joselynn, Joshua, Kayla, Michael, Corinne, Rachael & Dustin and by his 8 great grandchildren.  Survived by his sister Jacoba of Hamilton.

Predeceased by his brother Menno.

A Memorial will be held at his home at 142 Charlotteville Road #2, RR#2 St. Williamson on Tuesday July 4th from 2 to 6 pm.

KLASSEN: Anne (nee: Dyck)

KLASSEN: Anne (nee: Dyck) –  Passed away peacefully on Friday June 9, 2017 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, Anne Klassen of St. Catharines and formerly of Port Rowan in her 92nd year.  Born February 12, 1926 in Friedensruh, Russia to her parents the late Peter & Mary Dyck.  Her family emigrated to Canada in November 1926 and lived in Saskatchewan until 1941, when they bought a farm and moved to Virgil, Ontario.  Anne didn’t go to high school, but did domestic work (cleaning and cooking) in St. Catharines.  She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour in 1942 and was baptized, joining Virgil Mennonite Brethren Church.  She attended Eden Bible School.  During those years she met and fell in love with J. P. Klassen.  They were married May 1, 1948.  They lived and farmed in Port Rowan for 44 years.  They were blessed with 3 children, the late Diane (2016) and her husband Steve Talos, of Brantford,  Al & his wife Marianne Klassen, Shirley & her husband Larry Born, all of Port Rowan.    She has 7 grandchildren Stuart Talos, Neil Klassen, Stephanie (Dino) Evangelista, Krista (Dennis) Reimer, Shauna Born-McGuire (Andy)  Charity (Adam) Paolini, Lisa (Daryl) Smith and 8 great grandchildren, Ava, Christopher, Danae, Ellis, Regan, Sophie, Cole and Georgia.

She is survived by one sister, Kaye Fast of St. Catharines.

Relatives and friends may call at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Street, Port Rowan on Sunday from 1-4p.m.  Funeral service will be conducted from the Port Rowan Mennonite Brethren Church, 465 Concession Road 1 on Monday June 12, 2017 at 1:00p.m.  Private family interment at Fairview Cemetery, Port Rowan.

Donations in memory of Anne can be made to the Mennonite Central Committee  (cheques accepted) and  would be appreciated by the family.

ANDERSON: Michael Glenn

ANDERSON: Michael Glenn – passed away peacefully on Sunday June 4, 2017 at the Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford.  Mike Anderson of Forestville in his 71st year.

Beloved husband of Betty Anderson-Ward who he married July 15, 2011.  Dear father of Barb D’Agostino & husband Joe of Brampton and William Anderson of Kitchener.  Sadly missed by his 7 grandchildren AJ, Alyssa, John, Caralyn, Michael, Daniel and Mathew as well as his great grandson Sherlock.   Survived by his brothers Paul, Ron and Mark.  He will be membered by Betty’s family, Brenda Emre of St. Thomas, Laura Vandelande & John Duffy of Norwich, Andrew Ward & wife Valerie of Cambridge, Robin Vandelande of Ottawa, Jesse Ward & wife Kate of St. Williams and by her 12 grandchildren.

Predeceased by his first wife Gair Anderson and by brothers Alfred (Skip), and Barry. Michael is also fondly remembered by Gair’s family.

Born & raised in Toronto, Mike had worked for 30 years for the Scarborough Board of Education before retiring to Forestville in 1992.

Funeral arrangements will remain private and have been entrusted to the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, Port Rowan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stedman Community Hospice, 445 Grey St., Brantford, ON  N3S 6X1.
