Best friend and partner of Barbara Ann Underhill.  Step father of Amanda Underhill of Tillsonburg and Belinda & husband Samuel Smith of St. Williams.  Proud grandpa of Oliver. Loving son of Janice Currie of Courtland and the late Clifford Graves (1971). Dear brother of Tammy (Randy) of Courtland and Steve and Vicki of Port Rowan and will be remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his brothers Cliff, Mark and Barry McKibbon.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St., Port Rowan on Saturday February 18, 2017 from 9:30 – 10:45am. followed by the Memorial Service in the Clark Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11:00am.  Interment of Cremated remains will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Walsingham.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Walsingham or the Heart & Stroke Foundation (cheques accepted) and would be appreciated by the family.

BARNES: Bertha Akke

roseBARNES: Bertha Akke (nee Westerterp) – passed away peacefully on Friday January 13, 2017 at the Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford.  Bertha Barnes of Port Rowan in her 72nd year.

Beloved wife of Lou Barnes whom she married August 25, 1973.  Loving mother of Richard & wife Maria of St. Catharines and Jeremy of Kitchener.  Sadly missed by her grandchildren Allison and Tristyn.  She is survived by her brothers John Westerterp & wife Cynthia of St. Thomas, Ben Westerterp of Ipperwash and Peter Westerterp & wife Lineke of Grimsby and by sisters Agnes & John De Groot of London and Thea Ewald of Smithers, B.C. and by brother-in-law Bob De Kraker of Lyons and sister-in-law Elanor Westerterp of London.

Predeceased by her parents Peter Westerterp and Thea Vriesema, by brother Dick Westerterp and sister Ann De Kraker.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service to Celebrate Bertha’s life on Saturday January 28, 2017 at the Port Rowan Community Church at 2:00 pm.  A reception will follow in the Port Rowan Community Church Hall.

WHITBY: Donald Earl

donald-whitbyWHITBY: Donald Earl – passed away peacefully on Saturday January 7, 2017 at the Hamilton General Hospital.  Don Whitby of Simcoe in his 73rd year.

Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Barry) whom he married March 12, 1966.  Dear father of Bambi Chambers and John Holden of Jericho.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Tyler & Megan, Parker and Madison.  He will be remembered by his brothers Ken & Barb Whitby of London and Wayne & Judy Whitby of Simcoe and by his sister Marilyn & husband George Radmore of Burlington.

Don was a salesman at Norfolk Co-op and then at Norfolk Tractor combined for over 50 years.

Predeceased by his parents William Whitby and Marjorie Roloson.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Gathering to Celebrate Don’s Life at the Port Rowan Legion on Saturday April 1, 2017 from 1:30 until 3:30pm.  A Private Graveside Burial Service will take place at the Bayview Cemetery, Port Rowan.

Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Gilbert) who he married October 4, 1986.  Dear father of Aaron and Eric both of St. Williams. Survived by his sister Sherri and husband Randy Graham of Port Dover and by brothers-in-law Brian & Allan Gilbert of Simcoe.

The family would like to thank Care Partners and a special thank you to Cathy, Jeanette and Aunt Linda Kozack for all the care shown to Steve.

FITCH: Cheryl Ann (nee Guthrie)

Beloved wife of Andrew Fitch who she married December 3, 1977.  Loving mother of David and wife Sherri of Port Rowan, Ivan Fitch, Shelley Ferris & friend Cliff Fischer.  Sadly missed by her grandchildren Teagan, Riley, Victoria, Luke, Kerri and Kyle and by God children Caydence & Garnyr Lee.  Dear sister of Hop of St. Catharines, Tom of Brampton, Dave & Mary Ann of Fairground, Donelda & Randy Vincent of Port Rowan.  Survived by her sisters-in-law Debra May Saunders of Simcoe and Theresa & Doug Schram of RR#2 St. Williams and by brother-in-law Ernie Fitch of Delhi.

Predeceased by her parents David (2001) and Ruth (2002) Guthrie and by sister-in-law Arlene “Dale” Harrison (2015)

Cheryl served the Delhi United Church as their Designated Lay Minister since 2003 and Lynnville United Church.  She was the Padre for the Delhi Legion.  Cheryl found her calling in life as a minister serving others through her church and the community.

Relatives and friends may call at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home,  36 Front St., Port Rowan on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9pm.   Funeral service will be conducted from the Delhi United Church on Wednesday January 11, 2017 at 11:00am. Pastor Ted Smith Officiating. Interment later in Bayview Cemetery, Port Rowan
