KLASSEN: Peter – passed away suddenly on Thursday January 31, 2019 at his residence.  Peter Klassen of Kitchener and formerly of Simcoe & Port Rowan in his 90th year.

Beloved husband of Sara Helen “Sadie” (Dueck) Klassen whom he married August 4, 1956.  Dear father of Lois & husband James Nickel of Winnipeg, Ren & wife Joy of Kitchener and the late Patricia (October 24, 2018) and husband Tony Bouk of Tillsonburg.   Sadly missed by his 6 grandchildren Michael, Trish & Daniel, Joshua & Aiglee, Brittany, Luke, Ezra & great grandson Kingsley. Survived by his brothers John & wife Alita of St. Jacobs and Tom & wife Lydia of St. Williams, by his sisters Anne & husband Abe Toews and Martha & husband Dick Morgan all of Simcoe and by sister-in-law Helen of St. Catharines.

Predeceased by his parents Jacob & Helen (Unger) Klassen, by brothers J.P & Anne, Henry, Nick & Annie, Herman, Ed, Walter and by sisters Helen & Cornie Friesen and Mary & Abe Petkau.

Relatives and friends may call at the Kitchener Mennonite Brethren Church 19 Ottawa St., N., Kitchener on Monday February 4, 2019 from 12-1:45pm followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm.  Reception to follow.  Private family interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery, Port Rowan on Tuesday February 5, 2019.

SPIETAELS: Robert Desire – passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2018  at University Hospital, London  Bob Spietaels  of Long Point  in his 70th  year.

Beloved husband of Wendy (nee Swindall) whom he married November 6, 1971.   Dear father of Angela (Spietaels) Woodward of Langton and Rob Spietaels of Long Point.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Bradley and Emily Woodward and Hunter & Tanner  Spietaels .  He is survived by his brothers Archie of Ingersoll and Maurice of Long Point, by sister Josie Gilbert & Ken Young of Simcoe, by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Bessie Spietaels of Lasalette, Wayne Swindall of Toronto, Ben Swindall & wife Dianne of Delhi and Sue & Howie McLaren of Port Rowan.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph & Julie (Vandeweghe) Spietaels, brother George.

Bob and Wendy have owned and operated Marina Shores Ltd. in Long Point for the past 45 years.

BAKER:  Jacqueline Anne UE  – passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday February 5, 2018 in her 80th year.

Beloved wife of Ronald E. Baker, they married in Port Rowan on April 16, 1960.  Loving mother of David & his wife Krista of Baltimore, Maryland, Hilary Sharp-Baker & her husband Gregory Sharp of Dover, New Jersey, Timothy & his wife Natalie of Baltimore, Maryland, Paul Ferris-Baker & his wife Naiara of Baltimore, Maryland.

Cherished grandma of Julian, Elizabeth, Chloe, Matthew, Emma, Noah and Maxwell.

Daughter of the late Norman & Margaret Ferris.  Jackie was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church and trustee of Christ Anglican Church, Vittoria.  She is a member of Port Rowan South Walsingham Heritage Association and a United Empire Loyalist.  Jackie was a graduate of Western University and had a career as a therapeutic dietitian.   She spent most of her life in Europe and United States before retiring in Port Rowan in 2002.

Friends may call at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St. Port Rowan, Ontario on Friday April 27, 2018 from 7-9 p.m.  Memorial Service in Celebration of Jackie’s Life will be held on April 28, 2018 at 11:00a.m. from St. John’s Anglican Church, 46 Front Road, Port Rowan, Ontario.

– passed away suddenly on Friday February 16, 2018 at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital,  Robert Coderre of Walsingham in his 71st year.

Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Sherman) who he married March 22, 1968.  Dear father of Tina Coderre & John Serkeyn, Darren & wife Cristie and Chris Coderre & Deanna Laemers all of Tillsonburg.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Travis Kovari, Troyer Kovari (Renee), Dylan Holman, Nathan Holman, Nick Coderre, Taylor Coderre, Madison Coderre, Keenan Coderre and great grandson Jackson Kovari.  Survived by his brother Lawrence & wife Linda of Eden, by his sisters Marilyn & husband Eric Van Haverbeke of Eden and Jackie & husband Ken Hoare of Tillsonburg and by sister-in-law Linda Coderre of Eden.

Beloved husband of Heather Shipman.  Step-father of Jason & Kim, Mark, Randy & Alice and Emma-Lea & Steve. Step-Grandfather of Olivia, Blake & Paige.  Survived by his mother Jeanne Barber, by his brother s and sisters Rose (Mark), Karen (Dave) “Ernie”, Lonny, Neil and by his 6 nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his father Wray Barber (April 14, 2013)
