roseWIEBE: John Sr. – passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 30, 2014 at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe. John Wiebe of Walsingham in his 88th year.

Beloved husband of Mary (Tjart) whom he married April 24, 1948. Dear father of John & wife Betty of Port Royal, Bryon of London, Michael of RR#3 Langton and Jennifer and husband Steve Driediger of Kanata. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Lisa, Colin & Jennie, Maryanna & Jason, Catherine & Tim, Hilary, Sarah, Rachael and by his 10 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his brothers George, David, Nick and Jake.

Relatives and friends may call at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St., Port Rowan on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be conducted at the Erie View United Mennonite Church on Saturday May 3, 2014 at 11am. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Walsingham.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the M.C.C., the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.

HAYDT: Christopher Allan “Chris”

roseHAYDT: Christopher Allan “Chris” – of Delhi, passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Monday April 28, 2014.

Surviving are his mother Ruth (Rohrer) Haydt of Delhi, fiancé Laura Smith of Delhi, sisters Loretta and husband Malcom Luya, Vicki Haydt and Steve McKibbon and brother Roger Haydt and wife Sylvia of Walsh, by his 5 nephews and 1 niece.
Predeceased by his father Victor Haydt.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service to be conducted at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Street, Port Rowan on Friday May 2, 2014 at 11:00am.  Interment of Cremated Remains in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Walsingham.

roseWEST: Carolyn Maxine (nee Mudford) – formerly of St. Williams passed away suddenly on her 70th Birthday, at her residence, Heritage Retirement Home, Simcoe on Sunday April 27, 2014.
Beloved wife of Doug West whom she married Aug 12, 1961. Dear mother of Richard & Fran of Delhi and Brian of RR#1 St. Williams. Missed by her grandson John. Survived by her Father Harold Mudford of Belleville, sisters Betty & husband John Bosch of Langton, Nancy & husband Gary Hunter of Paris and Norma and husband Gary Robertson of Green’s Corners.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, Port Rowan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

McCORMICK: John Joseph

roseMcCORMICK: John Joseph – passed away suddenly on Thursday April 24, 2014 at his residence, John McCormick of Walsingham in his 62nd year.

Loving husband, companion and soul mate of Tracy Lambert, cherished father of Krista, Lawren, & Justin ( Brittany) all of Walsingham.

Predeceased by his son David McCormick.

John served in the United States Army and worked for Fisher and Ludlow in Burlington for many years. He joined the Long Point Lions Club in May of 2001 and continued to be an active member with the organization.

Relatives and friends may call at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St., Port Rowan on Tuesday evening from 7-9p.m. A Lions Memorial Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:30p.m. under the auspices of the Long Point Lions Club. Funeral service will be conducted in the Clark Chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday April 30th at 11:00a.m. with cremation to follow.
