CLINE: Jean Alexina Mary (nee Charter) –  passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, Simcoe,   Jean Cline of Port Rowan and formerly of Cambridge in her 86th year.

Beloved wife of Richard “Dick” Cline whom she married September 14, 1957.  Loving mother of Elizabeth & husband Don Beveridge of Burlington, Eric Cline of Simcoe, and Catherine & husband Jay Marteniuk of Kitchener.  Special Nana to Katie & Shawn, Sydney, Jayme and Celina. Survived by her sisters Barbara Watt of Tillsonburg, Margaret Davies of Burlington and sister-in-law Elva Charter of Ancaster.  She will be missed by her furry friends Maggie and Harvey.

Predeceased by her parents Truman & Margaret (Kirkwood) Charter, brothers Ken, Liston, Bob & Jim Charter and sisters Beth Hunter and Rita Jacobs.

Jean was a supportive wife of Richard in the Funeral Business for many years and was a longtime member of the Galt Golf & Country Club, the Chicopee Ski Club and had volunteered at the Norfolk General Hospital.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Jean’s Life at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home 36 Front St., Port Rowan when the spring blossoms are out, Saturday May 12, 2018 at 11:00am.  A reception will follow at the Family Home.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Wynveen and the wonderful staff and residents at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home for their wonderful care and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the “Breakfast Snack” Fund at Port Rowan Public School (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.

DEMING: Jay Albert Martin – passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, Niagara Falls on Monday January 15, 2018.  Jay Deming of Niagara Falls and formerly of Port Rowan in his 55th year.

Dear father of Shelby and friend Adam of Niagara Falls. Loving son of Marjorie (Trickett) and the late Joseph Deming (April 7, 2009) of Port Rowan.  Brother of Jody of Niagara Falls, Jason of Port Rowan and the late Debbie Deming (February 7, 2007) He will be missed by his nephew Christopher, nieces Amy, Amber, Candice, Cassidy and great nephew Lincoln.

Relatives and friends may call for visitation on Thursday January 18, 2018 from 6-8pm at the Patterson Funeral Home 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls.  Visitation will then continue on Friday January 19, 2018 from 2-4pm at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St., Port Rowan, ON.  There will be no funeral service.  Cremation will follow.

GUNN: John McKay  passed away peacefully on Friday December 29, 2017 at the Maple Manor Nursing Home, Tillsonburg, John Gunn of Houghton Centre in his 81st year.

Beloved husband of Wanda (nee Millard) who he married June 11, 1960.  Loving father of Jeff & Deb of Delhi, William of Houghton Centre, Matthew & Wendy of Forestville and Jason & Amber of Houghton Centre. Cherished grandpa (papa/pops) of Lindsay, Mylinda, Eric, Nicholas, Dylan, Cameron, Maxwell, Emma and great grandpa of Marshall.  Survived by his brother Douglas & Leanna of St. Thomas.

Relatives and friends may call at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Street, Port Rowan on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Clark Chapel of the funeral home on Thursday January 4, 2018 at 1p.m.   Interment Cultus Cemetery.

Thompson: Robert William –  peacefully on Saturday December 2, 2017 at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Robert Thompson of Clear Creek in his 73rd year.

Beloved husband of Barbara (Barton) who were married on April 18, 1964.  Loving father of Mike & wife Tammy of Woodstock, Jeff & wife Cindy of Tillsonburg, Tania & husband Keith Van Haverbeke of Langton, David & wife Jessica of Silver Hill.  Cherished grandpa of Selina (Rob), Samantha (D.J.), Mike, Justin, Greg, Steve, Levi, Katie, Seth and great grandpa of Serenety, Kaia, Abbi, Brayden and Baylee.  Survived by his mother-in-law Doris Barton, sisters-in-law Pat Orrell (Dave) and Ruth Thompson and by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his brothers, Stanley and Frederick and by his sister Grace Schell.

WALLS: Eldon “Al” Herman

WALLS: Eldon “Al” Herman– passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Parkwood Institute, London on Friday November 24, 2017, Eldon “Al” Walls of Port Rowan and formerly of London in his 80th year.

Beloved husband of Helen (nee Watson) who he married August 9, 1958.  Dear father of Brian, Bruce & wife Barb all of London and Karen & husband Tim McMillan of Strathroy.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Taylor, Austin, Michalia and by many other family and friends.  Survived by his sister Jean & husband Ken Clement of Mossley.

Predeceased by his sister Margaret & husband Don Mossip.

Al was a member of the Ironworkers Local 700 for over 60 years.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place in the Clubhouse of the Villages of Long Point Bay on Saturday April 14, 2018 from 2-4 p.m.
